The Amphenol Broadband IPA1000 Series eight-output Data Plus amplifiers distribute cable TV signals across eight amplified RF outputs while providing a separate passive data port for a cable modem or VoIP device.
The dedicated passive data port maintains a signal path independently of the amplifier’s powered RF distribution circuitry. This allows the modem connection to remain available during an amplifier power interruption, provided the connected equipment has power and the provider’s network remains operational.
Four model options offer different return-path and installation features:
IPA1008D-VF – An eight-output amplifier with a dedicated passive data port and passive return path for upstream communication without active return amplification.
IPA1008D-RSVF – An eight-output unity-gain amplifier with a dedicated passive data port. Its unity-gain design compensates for distribution losses to maintain approximately the incoming signal level at the RF outputs.
IPA1008DSL-RSVF – An eight-output unity-gain amplifier that adds Data Stabilization and a dedicated power port, alongside the passive modem/VoIP data connection.
IPA1008DL-VF-85 – An eight-output amplifier with a dedicated passive data port, a separate power port and a 5–85 MHz passive return path for systems using that upstream frequency range.
